Khagrachhari, May 05 (V7N) - Judicial employees in Khagrachhari have initiated a two-hour strike today, demanding salary and allowances aligned with the Bangladesh Judicial Service salary scale and the formulation of independent appointment rules.
The strike, organized by the Judicial Employees Association of Khagrachhari, saw subordinate court employees staging a full-scale work stoppage within the court premises area on Monday morning from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
During the strike, speakers conveyed their frustration, stating that despite multiple appeals to high-level government officials by the association's organizational team, there has been no tangible progress in fulfilling their demands. This lack of response has compelled them to participate in the strike action.
The employees warned that if their demands remain unmet even after this demonstration, the association will announce a larger program of action. Members of the Khagrachhari District Branch of the Bangladesh Judicial Association, including Bablu Barua, Billal Hossain, and Md. Rezaul, along with all the judicial employees of Khagrachhari, were present at the event.
