Rangamati, May 05, (V7N)- Mohiuddin Rimon (Babu), the former joint general secretary of Rangamati District Chhatra League, an organization currently banned by the government, has been apprehended by the Rangamati District Police.

His arrest occurred around 9 pm on Saturday in the Banarupa area of Rangamati town.

Babu is the son of Solaiman Chowdhury, the President of Rangamati Municipal Awami League.

According to the police, Babu was implicated in the attack that took place during the anti-discrimination movement and is listed as the 10th accused in the case filed regarding that incident.

The Kotwali Police Station reported that a case was registered against Mohiuddin Rimon on September 9, 2024, bearing Case No. 05 and dated September 17, 2024. The complaint alleges that he was involved in attacking and assaulting protesters during the anti-discrimination movement.
