Dhaka, May 12 (V7N) – Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, has called on doctors across Bangladesh to approach healthcare delivery with a renewed mindset focused on change and dedication.
He made this appeal while inaugurating the first-ever Civil Surgeons Conference-2025, held at the Chief Advisor's Office in Dhaka on Monday morning.
The two-day national conference, attended by district-level civil surgeons, marks a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s healthcare sector. According to the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), this is the first time such a gathering has taken place in the country.
Addressing the assembled health officials, Dr. Yunus said, “With all the medical equipment or facilities we have, if we can make up our minds to change in this situation, then I am sure that Bangladesh's health service will improve by 25 percent.”
He added that the inauguration of the conference represents more than just an event—it symbolizes the unveiling of a new mindset and the beginning of a new direction for the country’s health sector.
Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum also addressed the conference, echoing the call for transformation and collective responsibility in improving public health services across the nation.
