Dhaka, May 04 (V7N) – The official Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been hacked, prompting the ministry to issue a warning and initiate a recovery effort.

In a statement issued on Saturday night, the ministry confirmed that unauthorized and inappropriate content was temporarily posted from the page. Efforts are currently underway to regain control and enhance security to prevent future breaches.

"The page is now under maintenance," the notification read. The ministry urged the public to avoid engaging with or trusting any content shared from the hacked page until further notice.

It also assured that all official communications will continue through verified channels, including the official website and press releases.

An internal investigation has been launched to determine the source of the breach.
