Abu Dhabi, July 30 (V7N)- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned a drone attack launched from Iraqi territory targeting key oil facilities in Saudi Arabia’s eastern province.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Thursday (July 30), describing the attack as a clear violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a serious threat to regional security and stability.

However, the statement did not mention the exact timing of the attack or provide details about possible casualties or damage.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia confirmed that its oil facilities were targeted in a drone attack on Tuesday. Following the incident, Saudi forces, alongside the United States, carried out strikes against Iranian-backed armed groups in Iraq.

The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), an Iraqi state-backed Shiite militia group, said that at least 20 of its fighters were killed and several others were injured in the joint attack on their base.
