Tehran, July 30 (V7N)- A U.S. airstrike on a residential building on Iran's Qeshm Island has killed three members of the same family, including a couple and their two-year-old child, according to Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera.

Citing Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, the report said the victims were a husband, wife, and their two-year-old child.

Two other children, aged seven and nine, were seriously injured in the same strike and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the condition of the injured children or the circumstances surrounding the attack.
