Washington, May 03 (V7N) — Donald Trump has said he will soon review a new 14-point proposal sent by Iran, but indicated that it is unlikely to be accepted.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social on Saturday, the US president said, “I will soon review the plan that Iran has sent us. However, I do not think it will be acceptable.”
Trump also criticized Iran’s past actions, saying the country “has not yet paid enough for what they have done to humanity and the world in the last 47 years.”
Earlier, Iran submitted the proposal to the United States, which reportedly includes several demands such as a cessation of hostilities.
Trump’s latest remarks have added to growing uncertainty over the prospects of any potential agreement between the United States and Iran.
