Tehran, Apr 30 (V7N) — The United States has released six crew members from a seized Iranian cargo vessel, who returned home on Wednesday, according to Tasnim News Agency.

However, 22 other crew members from the same ship remain in US custody, with no clear timeline announced for their release.

The vessel, identified as the “Tuska,” was seized by US forces on April 20 in the Strait of Hormuz. Authorities accused the ship of violating an ongoing naval blockade related to Iran.

According to reports, US forces boarded and conducted operations on the vessel at the time of the seizure.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with maritime security and enforcement actions continuing to draw international attention.
