Gaza, Nov 03 (V7N)- With winter fast approaching, Palestinians in Gaza are racing to construct makeshift shelters for thousands of families whose homes were destroyed in Israeli attacks.

Many residents are gathering whatever materials they can find amid the rubble—wood, metal sheets, and tarpaulin—and using traditional construction techniques to build temporary shelters in hopes of surviving the coming cold season.

Humanitarian agencies warn that the need for shelter and warmth in the besieged enclave is becoming increasingly desperate, as tents, blankets, and other winter supplies remain stuck in UNRWA warehouses in Jordan and Egypt due to border restrictions.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has urgently called on Israel to allow the free flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza to prevent a worsening humanitarian crisis.
