Tehran, July 17 (V7N) – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, described Israel as a “dog on a leash” controlled by the United States in a fiery speech delivered on Wednesday (July 16). He emphasized Tehran’s readiness to confront any new attacks and highlighted Iran’s military capabilities.

Speaking about the recent 12-day conflict with Israel, Khamenei said that Iran possesses far greater power than the response it had already demonstrated, asserting, “We are never weak in front of the enemy.”

“We are prepared to face the United States and its chained dog, the Jewish empire,” Khamenei said. “A nation, a country, and a military force have this confidence—and that is the most important thing.”

He condemned Israel as a “cancer” and labeled the United States an “accomplice” in its actions. “We did not welcome war and do not desire conflict. But if the enemy attacks, the response will be devastating. Let everyone be aware of that,” he warned.

Khamenei also praised Iran’s recent missile strike on a U.S. military base in Qatar, describing the attack on the sensitive location as a clear demonstration of Tehran’s strength.

Meanwhile, diplomatic tensions persist as U.S. President Donald Trump, now in his second term, continues to pressure Iran for a nuclear agreement. Tehran, however, remains steadfast in rejecting conditions it views as unacceptable.
