Washington, June 22 (V7N) — The United States has confirmed that President Donald Trump personally oversaw the airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities from the White House Situation Room. The president later declared the military operation “very successful.”

According to an official statement released by the White House, President Trump was joined in the Situation Room by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and other senior officials during the operation.

Photos released by the administration show President Trump seated and watching real-time footage of US bombers conducting the strikes on Iranian targets. In another photo, he is seen standing, appearing engaged as he observes the unfolding military action.

Addressing the nation at 10 p.m. local time on Saturday following the attacks, Trump warned Iran that it now faced a choice between peace or facing a “greater tragedy than the last eight days.”

The US carried out coordinated strikes on Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian targets earlier this month.

The response from the international community has been swift and divided. Palestinian resistance group Hamas condemned the attacks, calling them a “brazen aggression” and a “flagrant violation of international law.” Several Latin American nations—including Cuba, Chile, Mexico, and Venezuela—also strongly criticized the US action.

As global concern mounts over a potential escalation into wider conflict, diplomatic efforts are expected to intensify in the coming days to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
