Tehran, June 18 (V7N)- Tensions in the Middle East have reached an alarming peak as Iran launched a fresh series of missile attacks on Israeli territory within the past 24 hours. According to Iranian state media, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired 25 missiles in two separate bursts early Wednesday, targeting key Israeli locations.

This comes just hours after a simultaneous barrage of 30 missiles was launched by Iran on Tuesday morning. The IRGC confirmed that its forces struck multiple strategic sites, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, an Israeli military intelligence center, and an office of Mossad, Israel’s national intelligence agency.

Israeli Response and Civilian Impact

In response, Israel has intensified its offensive campaign deep inside Iranian territory. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reportedly targeted around 200 Iranian missile launch sites as part of their retaliatory operations. Israeli airstrikes have focused on military infrastructure but have also caused significant civilian displacement.

Evacuation orders have been issued in parts of Tehran, as fears grow over further Israeli strikes on Iran’s capital. Human rights organizations estimate that at least 585 Iranian civilians have been killed so far in the ongoing Israeli offensive, with hundreds more injured.

Escalating Regional Conflict

As the conflict spirals, both nations show no signs of backing down. Iran’s missile barrage is being seen as a bold response to Israeli aggression and recent statements from US President Donald Trump, who has demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and claimed that the US now controls Iran’s airspace.

Meanwhile, humanitarian organizations have raised concerns about the growing civilian toll, urging both sides to exercise restraint and prioritize diplomatic engagement to prevent further escalation.

With major cities now under direct threat and military confrontations intensifying by the hour, the region stands on the brink of a wider, potentially catastrophic war.
