Dhaka, Dec 06 (V7N)- Secondary-level annual examinations, earlier postponed due to the agitation by secondary school teachers, are being held today in various parts of the country.

The exams started in the morning in several districts, including Sylhet, Pabna, Rajshahi, Jamalpur, Kurigram and Feni. Education authorities said special arrangements were put in place to conduct the examinations in order to compensate for the academic losses suffered by students due to the postponement.

Officials from the education department stated that the decision to hold the exams on holidays was taken to ensure candidates’ schedules remain as normal as possible and to avoid further disruption to the academic calendar.

However, some students expressed dissatisfaction, saying the sudden change in the examination schedule left them with insufficient time for proper preparation. They also noted that the uncertainty surrounding the earlier postponement had added to their mental stress.

Despite these concerns, authorities reported that the examinations were being conducted in an orderly manner, with necessary administrative supervision in place.
