Dhaka, Aug 25 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has warned that gusty winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep across seven districts overnight, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms.
According to a warning issued for the country’s inland river ports, gusty or squally winds may blow from the south or southeast over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar.
The warning, issued from 3 pm until 1 am on Monday, also forecast rain or thunderstorms in the affected areas.
In view of the adverse weather conditions, river ports in the seven regions have been advised to display local warning signal number 1.
Authorities have urged vessels and river users to exercise caution while operating in the affected areas.
