Dhaka, May 22 (V7N) – The weather office has forecast temporary rain or thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds in several regions of the country, with wind speeds reaching up to 80 kilometers per hour in some areas.
According to the weather forecast issued for inland river ports from 5:30 am to 1:00 pm on Friday (May 22), rain or thunderstorms with wind speeds of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour may sweep temporarily from the west or northwest over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh and Sylhet.
River ports in these areas have been advised to display warning signal number 2.
The forecast also said that temporary rain or thunderstorms with wind speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may occur from the west or northwest over Rajshahi, Pabna, Dhaka, Comilla and Noakhali.
River ports in those regions have been instructed to hoist warning signal number 1.
