Dhaka, May 14 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty or squally winds in several regions of the country by Thursday noon.
According to the weather bulletin issued Thursday morning, the affected areas may include Dhaka, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Cumilla, and Sylhet.
The forecast said wind speeds during the storms could range between 45 and 60 kilometers per hour.
River ports in the affected regions have been advised to display warning signal number 1.
The Meteorological Office also stated that the sky over Dhaka and nearby areas may remain temporarily partly cloudy until 1 pm, with chances of rain or thunderstorms during this period.
Daytime temperatures are also expected to decrease slightly due to the weather conditions.
