Dhaka, Aug 14 (V7N) – The Meteorological Department has issued warning signal number 3 for Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra ports due to the low-pressure area forming in the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjacent northwest Bay of Bengal, off the coasts of north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha.
According to the Meteorological Office, the system is causing significant air pressure variations over the north Bay of Bengal. Gusty and squally winds are likely over the north Bay, coastal areas, and sea ports of Bangladesh.
Fishing boats and trawlers operating in the north Bay of Bengal and the deep sea have been advised to approach the coast with caution until further notice.
