Dhaka, Jun 09 (V7N) — A mild heat wave is currently affecting Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna divisions, as well as Feni and Mymensingh districts, and is expected to continue for the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Department reported today.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur in parts of the Chittagong division and in one or two locations of Dhaka, Barisal, and Sylhet divisions over the coming day. Elsewhere, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.
Temperatures are predicted to rise slightly nationwide during both day and night.
Looking ahead to June 10, light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds may affect some areas in Chittagong, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, as well as one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions. Daytime temperatures are likely to increase slightly, while nighttime temperatures will remain nearly steady.
