Dhaka, Jun 08 (V7N) – On the second day of Eid-ul-Azha, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds may occur at one or two places in the Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies. The day and night temperatures may rise slightly across Bangladesh.

In its 24-hour forecast starting from 9:00 AM on Sunday (June 8), the Met Office reported that the monsoon is currently less active over Bangladesh and in a weak to moderate condition over the North Bay of Bengal.

The forecast, signed by Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick, also includes a similar outlook for Monday (June 9), predicting light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds in parts of Chittagong and Sylhet, while the rest of the country will likely continue experiencing dry and warm conditions.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain alert, especially during outdoor activities, as brief but intense spells of rain and wind may occur.
