Dhaka, May 2 (V7N) – Hasnat Abdullah, Chief Organizer (Southern Region) of the National Citizens' Party (NCP), has called for a ban on the ruling Awami League, describing it as a "party of mass murderers." The remark was made in a status update posted on his verified personal Facebook account.

In the post, Hasnat wrote:

"Awami League, the party of mass murderers, must be banned to save the country. The time has come to stand up against their crimes. Join us today at 3 PM at the South Gate of Baitul Mukarram for the protest rally. Let your voice be heard. Enough is enough."

This call to action comes ahead of a scheduled protest rally organized by the NCP, demanding a complete ban on the Awami League and the suspension of its political operations in Bangladesh. The rally is set to take place on Friday afternoon at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, a symbolic and strategic venue for political demonstrations.

The NCP leadership claims the protest is part of a broader national movement against what they allege are systemic abuses and authoritarian practices by the ruling party.

Security officials have stated that they are aware of the planned gathering and are monitoring the situation closely to ensure law and order.
