Jhalokathi, Nov 04 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced its candidate for the Jhalokathi-2 constituency ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The announcement was made on Monday night at a press conference following an emergency meeting at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka. Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir revealed the party’s nominee.

The nominated candidate for Jhalokathi-2 (Sadar-Nalchhiti) is former Member of Parliament Israt Sultana Elen Bhutto.

Mirza Fakhrul stated, “BNP is contesting the elections under the Sheaf of Paddy symbol to restore democracy and ensure the voting rights of the people. Qualified, dedicated, and popular leaders are being nominated nationwide, including in Jhalokathi-2.”

He also confirmed that nominations for the remaining constituencies will be finalized and announced in the coming days.

The announcement highlights BNP’s strategy of selecting experienced and locally respected leaders to strengthen its position in the upcoming national elections.
